Get ready, it's time for another Kristos Olive Oil menu and we're going to Provence, France.

Even the French melt with a sigh when they hear "Pan Bagna."


The Menu for June 13, 2013


PROVENÇAL

The Warm South of France

 

Provençal Tomato Toasts

Tomatoes roasted with fragrant olive oil and tarragon atop toasted slices of French bread.

 

Olive Tapenade

Black olives, lemon zest, anchovies, and olive oil blended into a salty, summery spread.

 

Pan Bagna

Literally "bathed bread," this is the original sandwich of Provence. Ripe tomatoes, spring onions, hard-boiled eggs, red bell pepper, olives and a vinaigrette which seeps into the bread. A Salade Niçoise sandwich.

 

Frisée Salad with Fresh Cheese

Mixed bitter greens are softened by  a fruit forward vinaigrette and home-made fresh mint infused cheese.

 

Cold Mellon Soup

Cantaloupe and honeydew melons combined with orange juice, and mint and then topped with a drizzle of fine olive oil. The perfect summer dessert.
